STORYLINE
Coach, who happens to be a highly respected Hall of Fame College Football coach, is known to the world as "America's Mentor" but unfortunately has been diagnosed with early stages of a terrible disease. All the McMurphy siblings have ever known is family and football - each with exceptional knowledge and skills, with one even currently in the NFL. Because of their bumpy family history since the death of their mother, the atmosphere is full of tension as ideas, options and opinions are suggested for how to best care for Coach and his overwhelming diagnosis, but they're not on the same page. Fueling the fire, Blake, who's five years sober after a decade-long battle with alcoholism, is lobbying for himself to be Coach's main caregiver. Reed, who can't let go of the destructive person Blake used to be, drudges up Blake's past mistakes and shortcomings in order to take control of things as usual. The drama that plays out puts a spotlight on the very real struggle families endure through the long and ever evolving process of recovery, coupled with their difficulty to cope with Coach's looming fate.
